The affects of the past year has already had a massive impact on our children's emotional, mental, and social health. They are experiencing greater anxiety, higher depression rates and suicide activities amongst pre-teens and teen children has increased significantly. Another side affect is many pre-teens and teenager's physical activity and exercise has diminished greatly. If they are learning remotely, they have a tendency to visit the refrigerator more, stream shows, play video games, watch Youtube and Tiktok. This has lead to a significant increase to onscreen interaction for school age children. Prior to the Covid shutdown, the average school age child spent nearly 60 hours a week electronically connected, now the average is 95 hours. Lack of activity has caused child obesity rates to increase, which leads to lower self-esteem and self-image issues.
In this program, we are going to work on rebuilding your child's confidence and self-esteem by focusing on a Purpose Driven Mindset. Working on reconnection with family, friends and peers will allow them to start creating a new reality for themselves. Eliminating fear, doubt, and anxiety which will improve their self-worth, thus improving their emotional and mental health.
We will also teach them about self-defense skills that will empower them to stand proud and walk with confidence in the world. This program is for 4 hours and we have 2 classes to choose from. The first class will be held Saturday June 26, 2021, the second class will be held Saturday July 17, 2021. Both Classes will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
We are also including our Parents as Coaches Seminar from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in our class room as the students work on their Street Smart Self-Defense Segment of their program.
Lunch will be served at 1 p.m. at the conclusion of the camp for both students and parents.
